10:30 AM ET: Author’s Series: Hey Dad! Let’s Have a Catch!
In honor of Father’s Day and our first annual Family Catch at Doubleday Field, Author Harold Theurer, Jr. will join us to talk about his book Hey Dad!
12:00 PM ET: Family Catch
In honor of Father’s Day, the Hall of Fame will host a game of catch at Doubleday Field between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to allow parents and kids to enjoy one of baseball’s timeless traditions.
3:00 PM ET: Legends For Youth Skills Clinic
The Legends for Youth Skills Clinic, presented by the Hall of Fame and the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association, gives children ages 5 to 12 a chance to spend the afternoon enhancing their baseball skills with former major leaguers on historic Doubleday Field.
7:00 PM ET: Voices of the Game: Hall of Fame Classic
Join us for a special Father’s Day edition of our Voices of the Game series as we talk with Hall of Famers Bob Feller, Ferguson Jenkins, Paul Molitor, Phil Niekro and Brooks Robinson. The program starts at 7 p.m. in the Grandstand Theater.

10:00 AM ET: Father’s Day Special: The Hall of Fame Dad
During renovations in 1994, Hall of Fame staff discovered an old photograph of a ballplayer hiding beneath an exhibit case. A note on the picture read: “You were never too tired to play catch. On your days off you helped build the Little League field. You always came to watch me play. You were a Hall of Fame Dad. I wish I could share this moment with you. Your son, Pat.”
2:00 PM ET: 2009 Hall of Fame Classic
The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, in conjunction with the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association, will kick off a new Cooperstown tradition on Father’s Day Weekend with the first annual Hall of Fame Classic, presented by the Ford Motor Company. This year’s Classic will feature Hall of Famers Bob Feller, Ferguson Jenkins, Paul Molitor, Phil Niekro and Brooks Robinson and twenty retired Major League players. Fans are invited to line Main Street for the Cooperstown Game Day Parade, beginning at noon.

9:00 AM ET: Community Connections – Hall of Fame Blood Drive
In conjunction with the American Red Cross and Bassett Hospital, the Hall of Fame will host a blood drive in our Education Gallery. All visitors who wish to donate blood between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. will receive free admission to the museum.

1:30 PM ET: 2009 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
Open to the public and free of charge, the 2009 Induction Ceremony honors Rickey Henderson, Jim Rice, and Joe Gordon. The ceremony also recognizes J.G. Taylor Spink Award winner Nick Peters and Ford C. Frick Award winner Tony Kubek. Weather permitting, the ceremony takes place on the grounds of the Clark Sports Center, located on lower Susquehanna Avenue, just one mile south of the Hall of Fame; the walk provides a picturesque view of Cooperstown.
